Project Studio: A Course Development Software System Developed by Users

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this session, we will share the story and ongoing development of Project Studio, our course development software system designed to facilitate collaborative and well-aligned learning experience development. It is project management, resource management, and instructional design all in one. Project Studio allows us to bring everything and everyone needed to develop a great learning experience into one place. Once completed, content can be exported into Brightspace, or any LMS, for use with students. Indiana Wesleyan University has been working with Software Built By Design, Inc. to develop solutions in response to several years of feedback on needs, problems, ideas, and even a few big dreams for course development, instructional design, project management, resource management, training needs, alignment challenges, and quality assurance processes. Features in Project Studio were designed using input gathered from the Course Development Survey (2.5 yrs.), direct complaints and ideas, one-on-one discussions with faculty and academic leaders, Let’s Talk sessions, project audits (when things go wrong), ideas shared through strategic plans, conversations with curriculum support staff, program reviews, and external partner conversations. In this session, we will share what Project Studio is and how we are using it. We hope to bring other partners and users on board as we continue to standardize and customize an effective process with validated results.
Session participants can create a free account and access a demo in our instance of Project Studio.
